Portugal Blue Digital Hub launches Academia Digital Blue

Portugal Blue Digital Hub (PBDH) has launched Academia Digital Blue, an e-learning platform to support the digital upskilling of professionals and organisations operating in the Blue Economy.
Designed as a new training tool for the sector, the platform aims to promote digital literacy, foster innovation, and reinforce the essential skills needed to address the challenges of the digital and environmental transition. Intended for professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, and decision-makers, Academia Digital Blue contributes to the modernisation of Portugal's Blue Economy by facilitating access to training in areas that are strategic for its development.
At launch, the platform already offers the following training courses, which focus on key topics for the sector’s transformation:
- Fundamentals of Sustainability in Maritime Transport
- Introduction to Blockchain Technology
- Digitalisation and Security in Shipbuilding
- Sustainable Materials and Processes in Shipbuilding
- Cybersecurity Awareness
- Digitalisation and Sustainable Management of Operations
- Energy Efficiency and Digital Management
Through this initiative, PBDH reinforces its mission to promote the digital and environmental transition of the Blue Economy by supporting skills development and the adoption of innovative solutions by the various actors across the ecosystem.
