Aveiro will welcome the “Azul Digital” event dedicated to innovation in the Blue Economy

The event Azul Digital: Digital Solutions for the Blue Economy will take place in Aveiro on 31 March 2026 from 09:30am to 12:30pm. The event will focus on how technological innovation is transforming the Blue Economy.
The session is organised within the framework of the Portugal Blue Digital Hub (PBDH) by Inova-Ria and the University of Aveiro, partners of the PBDH consortium, in collaboration with Fórum Oceano, the project coordinator.
The event aims to create a space for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and identifying new opportunities by bringing together professionals, researchers, companies, and organisations interested in exploring the potential of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, in the Blue Economy.
Throughout the morning, the programme will feature examples of digital solutions currently being developed and applied in the blue sector, as well as initiatives thatmcontribute to the digital and environmental transition of sea-related
activities.
Key topics will include the results of the PBDH, including the Blue Biobanks Digital Research Platform, the Portuguese National Oceanographic Data Center and the Nautical Stations, as well as funding and collaboration opportunities for companies, research organisations and other stakeholders.
