The Portugal Blue Digital Hub (PBDH), represented by the Hydrographic Institute (IH), was present at the 3rd edition of the Luso-Spanish Hydrography Conference (3JLEH), which took place from 9 to 11 October 2024 at the Palacio de Congresos in Cadiz, Spain. This event, co-organised by the Hydrographic Institute, is an international benchmark in the field of hydrography, bringing together specialists and professionals from various fields related to the sea.
The conference focused on topics such as hydrography, mapping, navigation safety, oceanography, marine geology and the blue economy, with the aim of sharing knowledge and promoting the development of innovative solutions to the challenges facing the maritime sector. Topics discussed included the chemistry of the marine environment, sea pollution and the use of maritime technologies, with a view to promote sustainability and efficiency in the management of ocean resources.
The Hydrographic Institute, a partner in the PBDH consortium and one of the co-organisers of the 3JLEH, played a major role in the event, contributing its vast experience and know-how to the discussion on advanced technological solutions in hydrography and maritime services.
PBDH's presence at the conference reaffirmed its commitment to innovation in the maritime sector and to creating a sustainable future for the blue economy.
