Portugal Blue Digital Hub present at the SIM Conference '25 to discuss blue investments

The Portugal Blue Digital Hub (PBDH) attended the 2025 edition of the SIM Conference, which took place at Alfândega do Porto from 6 to 8 May. Considered one of the leading innovation and entrepreneurship events in Portugal, the SIM Conference annually brings together founders, start-ups, investors, and national and international opinion leaders each year to foster collaboration and investment opportunities.
On 8 May, PBDH Lead Manager Carlos Pinho participated in the panel discussion "Blue Economy - Investments with Future in Matosinhos", promoted by Matosinhos City Council as part of the "Google Connecting Circles" space. This roundtable discussion brought together various experts and institutional representatives to explore the opportunities and challenges of developing the Blue Economy in the region.
In his speech, Carlos Pinho highlighted the strategic role of the PBDH a in catalysing innovation and investment in the context of the digital and sustainable transformation of maritime economies. He also emphasised the importance of platforms like the PBDH in fostering collaborative ecosystems geared towards enhancing knowledge and technological training, and creating solutions that have a real impact on the region.
The PBDH's participation in this event represents another step towards strengthening the sector's collaborative networks. We believe that dialogue, knowledge sharing and active cooperation are essential for consolidating an increasingly innovative, resilient and competitive blue economy.
