Secretary-general of Fórum Oceano, he was a mentor in the Ocean Stream start-up acceleration programme, and a 'coacher' in the European Commission's Blue Invest Platform. He was Director-General for Maritime Policy at the Ministry of the Sea and Science and Technology Manager at Galp Energia.
Since September 2021, is the Strategic Advisor of Fórum Oceano, after being Secretary-General between 2010 and 2021. Previously, Rui Azevedo was Vice-Chairman of the CCDR-N (The North Regional Coordination and Development Commission).

Responsible for coordinating and promoting the Network of Nautical Stations of Portugal, certified and coordinated by Fórum Oceano, and in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, municipalities, business associations and other public and private entities.
With over a decade's experience in journalism, he won 8 Consumer Choice awards at MEN'S HEALTH Portugal. As Marketing Coordinator at NEW GLOBAL PET, he led the communication of premium petfood brands. He is currently Blue Marketing & Communication Manager at Fórum Oceano.
With a degree in Sociology from ISCTE and a postgraduate qualification in Law and Economics of the Sea (Nova School of Law), he was Secretary General of EISAP and Director of Public Relations at European Mar. He has extensive experience in communication and strategic planning in national and international markets.

She has a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. She has been responsible for administrative and financial management at Fórum Oceano (since 2012), namely treasury management and financial management of national and international projects.
She has a degree in International Relations with a specialisation in Japan and the Korean Peninsula, teaches Japanese and Korean, and was also a university lecturer in International Politics in Argentina. At Fórum Oceano, she works on the Atlantic Strategy and the WestMED initiative.
Graduated in Tourism and Tourism Business Management from U. Lusófona do Porto and a Master in Tourism Management from Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Porto. She began her career at Fórum Oceano in 2022, in the Nautical Tourism and the Network of Nautical Stations of Portugal.

With a degree and master's degree in Public-Private Administration from FDUC. Fórum Oceano was her first professional experience in the area. It is part of the Hub Azul de Leixões project, within the scope of the “Business Model Creation” component.

With a degree from the Advanced Sea Studies Programme at the Portuguese Catholic University, management at Finadvise and professional experience in the private business sector, he coordinated the Fórum Oceano delegation in Lisbon and was Secretary General of the Fórum Empresarial da Economia do Mar Association.
With a degree in Economics and an international MBA, he has worked in collaborative innovation consultancy for the Blue Economy, Sustainability, Smart Cities and Tourism. He was Director of the Bluetech Accelerator programme, focused on driving innovation in the blue economy.
He worked as an innovation manager in a diverse array of fields, such as banking, insurance, education, FMCG, retail and industry. In those roles, he developed projects in a variety of formats, from open innovation to corporate venture building.

Professional career centred on the banking sector, with a focus on the commercial area, corporate segment (large companies and multinationals) and medium-sized companies, with management and commercial management responsibilities for over 30 years, currently working as Investor Relations & Controller at Forum Oceano.
Holds a Master's degree in Communication, Culture, and Information Technologies from ISCTE and a Bachelor's degree in Languages, Literature, and Culture from the Faculdade de Letras of Lisbon. Has worked as a Marketing and Communication Manager for a shopping center at Klépierre Iberia, as a Digital Marketing Manager in Real Estate, and Social Media Manager for a Hotel. Has published 'Revisiting Asymmetries in the Representation of Portuguese Women News Anchors' in the Women's Studies Journal.
She has a Master's degree in Communication Sciences from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. She has been working in Communication for more than 12 years, having worked as a content manager, editorial director and communication advisor. She is currently coordinating the communications portfolio for the Leixões Blue Hub project.
With a degree in Auditing from ISCAP, she has more than 20 years of experience in accounting for Non-Profit Sector Entities, as well as their specificities in Public Procurement, taxation and Expenditure Eligibility.
Graduated in International Development and Public Policy and International Management, she has experience with start-ups and sustainability projects in various fields, including marketing, project development, and strategic partnerships.
With an Executive MBA from Porto Business School, an M.Sc. in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship, and a 5-year degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto, he has worked as the Business Developer Manager for the Blue Economy at INESC TEC, where he crafted and oversees innovation strategies. With extensive experience in executive management and advisory roles, excels in fostering business opportunities and partnerships, driving high-impact results.

With a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering and a PMI-certified Project Manager (PMP), he was a director and manager of public works projects in Portugal and Angola for 20 years. He is currently programme manager for various projects at Fórum Oceano.
Fórum Oceano participates, as a founding member, in a transatlantic network of European and North American Maritime Clusters. Composed of Clusters from seven countries – Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Ireland, Canada, and USA – the BTCA emerged in 2017. The network seeks to promote investment and sustainable growth in maritime industries through collaboration among its members on initiatives linked to research and development, knowledge transfer and identification of joint business opportunities.
Smart.Coast – Technologies at the service of maritime activities – is an initiative subscribed by eight national entities that aims to foster the development and demonstration of New ICT Technologies for the competitiveness of the economy of the sea.
Fórum Oceano is a member of FEDETON – European Federation of Nautical Tourism Destinations – since 2016, representing the National Association in this European network, also composed by the Associations of France and Spain and the Members Sibenik/Croatia, Donegal/Ireland, and Assonautica Nord Sardegna/Italy. Membership of this Federation follows the interests of the partners and the work carried out within the Nautical Portugal Dynamizing Group, which Fórum Oceano promotes.
Fórum Oceano has belonged to the PORTUGALclusters network since its formation on 5 March 2014. Signed by 16 National Poles and Clusters recognised in 2009 by the COMPETE Management Authority, the agreement aims to bring the partners together in a cooperation network to explore synergies and projects in areas of common interest linked to innovation, internationalisation and competitiveness of entities in the different value chains.
Fórum Oceano belongs to the European Network of Maritime Clusters, a confederation of clusters whose objectives are, among others, sharing good practices and promoting maritime interests to the European Commission.
The Ocean Forum is present in this online platform, developed by DG Enterprise & Industry, which integrates clusters and other organizations, allowing the promotion of networking and international cooperation in networks.
Fórum Oceano belongs to this international network which integrates several partners representing maritime territories, including public administration, scientific and economic institutions.
Fórum Oceano is part of this cooperation platform of civil society of the Atlantic Area, officially constituted on 19 September 2003, and composed of Economic and Social Councils (ESCs) of the regions of the European Atlantic Area and, where such institutions do not exist, of equivalent entities or bodies.
Fórum Oceano is the managing entity of the Portuguese Sea Cluster, certified and recognised by the Ministry of Economy and the Sea, the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure.
