Fórum Oceano Membership

Who can be an Associate

Public or private, national, or foreign collective persons, who develop, directly or indirectly, activities related to the Sea, admitted by the Board and ratified by the General Assembly, under the terms of the law and the statutes of the association.

Membership Fee

The annual membership fee for Fórum Oceano’s associates is organised in 5 scales, depending essentially on the age of the associated entity and the number of workers it employs:

€ 250

Entities that have been in business for less than 5 years and employ up to 10 workers.

€ 600

Organisations employing up to 10 workers who started their activity 5 years ago or more.

€ 1000

Organisations employing 11 to 50 workers.

€ 1500

Organisations employing 51 to 250 workers.

€ 2000

Entities employing more than 250 workers.

SGPS

The classification will be made according to the number of employees in the economic group.

(Criteria approved at the General Meeting held on 17 December 2015 and adjusted at the General Meetings held on 20 April 2016, 21 December 2017 and 27 March 2018)

Note: Companies awarded under competitions promoted by Fórum Oceano Members enjoy a period of exemption in the first 2 years. After notification by Fórum Oceano, these companies have a period of 30 days to formalize the membership request.

Personal data collected through this form will be processed by Fórum Oceano – Associação da Economia do Mar, as the data controller, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) of 27 April and Law No. 58/2019 of 8 August. The processing is carried out pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR and for the purposes of assessing and processing the membership application and, if admitted, managing the membership relationship and institutional contacts with the Member and the contacts designated by it. The provision of the personal data requested is necessary to assess the membership application; failure to provide it makes it impossible to process this application.

Personal data will be retained for the period necessary for the purposes that determined its collection. If the membership application is approved, the data will be retained for the duration of the membership relationship. After that period, they may be retained for the period necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, as well as for the establishment, exercise or defence of rights in judicial, administrative or extrajudicial proceedings.

The data subject may, under the applicable law, exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and, where applicable, data portability, as well as lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).
