Blue Solution
Docapesca intends to promote and build energy-efficient infrastructures to support fishing activities (fishing harbours, docks, auctions and commercialisation and storage spaces), with 24/7 energy and water consumption monitoring systems, including photovoltaic energy production.
The implementation of this model will improve the marketing of fish, the surrounding hygiene and health conditions, good practices in handling, packaging and transporting fish, optimising existing layouts and operational areas, unloading fish, sanitising materials, supplying ice, preserving fish, among others.
The EU Environmental Taxonomy is a technical classification system that defines strict criteria for identifying sustainable economic activities. The aim is to guide investors, companies and governments towards green sectors, prevent greenwashing and boost the transition to a green, low-carbon economy.
