One Sustainable Ocean
The «One Sustainable Ocean | Ocean Science & Business2Sea» is one of the official side-events area of United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) 2022, having been designated officially as «umbrella event».
One Sustainable Ocean is a joint initiative organized by Lisbon City Council, Fórum Oceano, Science and Technology Foundation, University of Lisbon and several other entities. «One Sustainable Ocean | Ocean Science & Business2Sea» will have a dedicated area for companies and scientific institutions to showcase their products and services, an auditorium where the main conferences will take place, workshop rooms and a B2B networking lounge.
Hub Azul Dealroom is the digital platform that connects startups and entrepreneurs with investors, companies, and institutions in the Blue Economy sector. By leveraging the power of digital connectivity and collaboration, the HUB AZUL DEALROOM has the potential to revolutionise the Blue Economy, promoting the responsible management of ocean resources while driving economic growth and innovation with impactful matchmaking suggestions.
With the confirmed presence of Mr. Secretary of State for the Sea, José Maria Costa, this important event will also celebrate the signing of collaboration protocols and MoUs between Fórum Oceano and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Startup Portugal, Euronext Lisbon, Katapult Ocean, BlueInvest and Porto de Lisboa, with a view to developing the HUB AZUL DEALROOM platform and the Hub Azul innovation ecosystem.
The conference ‘Selvagens Islands - Marine Protected Area: A catalyst for the national Sustainable Blue Economy’ took place on 15 September and brought together a number of speakers in Funchal, including the Minister for the Economy and the Sea, António Costa Silva, the Minister for National Defence, Helena Carreiras, the former Minister for the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, and the Chief of Staff of the Navy and former coordinator of the task force for vaccination against covid-19, Henrique Gouveia e Melo, as well as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Ocean, Peter Thomson, as keynote speaker.
A Global Blue Economy Artificial Intelligence, Clean Energy & Bio-assets Investment Summit for Europe, Africa, Americas, and Asia», will be held on October 16-17, 2024, at Forte São da Barra in Oeiras, Portugal.
This prestigious event, organized by Fórum Oceano in collaboration with the International Forum for Clean Energy – Macao (IFCE), aims to bring together 200 high-level business participants from across the globe to discuss the latest technological and business model innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Clean Energy applied to the Blue Economy.
Our objective is to foster sustainable monetization of the blue economy and position his forum as a leading international event for business investment in this vital sector.
Forum Oceano is organising the 12th edition of Business2Sea on 14 and 15 November, with the support of Matosinhos City Council and APDL - Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo.
The event will take place at the Port of Leixões Cruise Terminal and will be dedicated to the central theme of ‘Digitalisation and Ocean Renewable Energies’.
Business2Sea is the anchor event of the Oceano Forum and the Portuguese Sea Cluster, bringing together companies from all the blue economy value chains - consolidated and emerging - investors, research and technology development centres, higher education institutions, central and local government bodies and other organisations operating in the blue economy.
Fórum Oceano is the managing entity of the Portuguese Sea Cluster, certified and recognised by the Ministry of Economy and the Sea, the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure.
