The CCG/ZGDV Institute is a private, non-profit organisation that began operating in 1993 and is currently based in Guimarães, on the Azurém Campus of the University of Minho.
With 30 years' experience and a unique history at the interface between the research ecosystem and the business world, CCG/ZGDV is today one of the country's most respected and innovative technology centres in the area of information and communication technologies.

CCG/ZGDV has a presence in several Blue Economy sectors, including aquaculture, blue renewable energies, blue biotechnology, blue technology and ocean observation, coastal and maritime tourism, environmental protection and regeneration, fisheries, shipbuilding and ship processing, maritime and port transport and water management.
It also offers solutions in various categories such as transport, water and sewage, smart cities, health, education, Green Maritime, data centres, clean energy, circular economy, aquaculture, architecture and construction, agrotech and food production.

The EU Environmental Taxonomy is a technical classification system that defines strict criteria for identifying sustainable economic activities. The aim is to guide investors, companies and governments towards green sectors, prevent greenwashing and boost the transition to a green, low-carbon economy.
The CCG/ZGDV Institute fulfils the following objectives:
